What it’s Like to Attend the World Cup

Besides the thrill of watching live football (soccer) with tens of thousands of rabid fans, the FIFA Fan Fest took place outside the stadium in Doha. Held at Al Bidda Park, it features a variety of activities and events for football fans from all around the world.

Al Bidda Park is located between the Souq Waqif and West Bay areas. You can reach the park through the Corniche, Al Bidda, and White Palace metro stations.

During the tournament, the event was open from November 19 to December 18 and free of charge.

Aside from watching the World Cup matches, fans can also enjoy various other activities and events at the Fan Fest. If you love soccer, this is a beautiful experience.

Some of the events featured at the Fan Fest included performances by prominent global music acts and local artists. A food court, which featured various cuisines from different regions.

Aside from football matches, fans can also participate in interactive gaming stations that allow them to play various games. Various official FIFA merchandise was available for purchase during the event.

Fans had the opportunity to tour dedicated exhibitions showcasing the World Cup.

The 2022 World cup was held in Doha, Qatar. The city is a short distance from several stadiums for use at World Cup matches. The event allows fans from various backgrounds to join together and celebrate the tournament and the sport they love.

Typically there is no alcohol served in Qatar, but the government issued special licenses for the stadiums and the festival. While enjoyment is the name of the game, visitors to other countries should always be aware and respectful of the laws and customs of the country they’re visiting.

Dedicated transport links between the World Cup stadiums and the Fan Fest facilitated travel to the event. This will allow fans to attend all matches without dealing with traffic. No one wants to miss their favorite team while they wait for the bus.
